Keeperboy I agree with you totally. This is an aspect that some people don't know or forget about. I used to feel very lonely when I was flying long haul (not drinking alcohol was the reason number one, it was more difficult to socialise). And when I got "harrassed" during a week long trip in the Dominican Republic, I couldn'tfind anybody to talk to for days (SCCM included). I ended up on my own, in my room, too scared to come out for days. Terrible.
I have to say it got much better when I finally started flying short haul.

In all these years I have witnessed fellow crew members breaking down, bursting into tears for this and that reason downroute, and I have to say that when I had a HUGE problem myself during a 2 night-stop last november, both Captain and SCCM were so good, spending all the time necessary to make me feel better and making sure I was REALLY ok to fly back.

I want to say it here to all EF LGW cabin/flight crew who know who I am - I will always be available when on a trip, both on the plane and at destination. If you have a problem and need somebody to talk to anytime, day or night, please do approach me. I am a good listener and have been through the wars (winning!!) myself. I know how it feels!!!

Keeperboy your message, I think, is very important, and even more vital for LH crew. Guys, let's look after each other.

All my sympathy to everybody who knew that poor girl.
