As a conscientious Qantas employee, I am always looking for ways to ensure that our senior executives receive their annual performanc bonuses.
I believe I have found a great idea which I will be putting to the Board in the near future.
This week it was announced that the BBC (Pom TV) was going to outsource all of its Human Resources functions to a company called Capita.
BBC chairman said -"we believe HR is going to become the next big area for the future of outsoucing" (Guardian 24/2)

Qantas has no need for HR because it believes it has no need for its people.
Ever since James Strong strutted into the CEO office with his sneering patrician condescention - we have had a senior managment team that actually LOATHES its workforce. This hatered of UNIONISED labor appears in every utterance & piece of spin.
Strong implemented his hatred of his serfs by positioning baggage handlers like Greg B. to kick the heads of cabin crew.
His sychophantic underlings Dixon , Toomey et al have continued to grow this manangmnet culture of contempt
towards employees. (Yet they reckon Dixon was a good bloke as marketing manager for Australian Airlines...what price your soul?)
HR has been the tool with which to DE-HUMANISE Qantas staff. Caring for people has become a redundant occupation at Qantas so it time for HR to go.
Did the Hewitt survey look at the issue of SENIOR MANAGEMENT'S DISENGAGEMENT FROM ITS WORKFORCE? This is a reality at Qantas and as a shareholder I am concerned.
(Getting on the piss with a few brown- noses at an excel award doed not address all employee morale issues.)

Oh yes, when that quaintly termed " Qantas Head (Kicker) of People" (an oxymoron if there was ever one!) -Kevin Brown - calls a media conference to announce the wholesale SACKING of the HR department - make sure he uses the phrase "THE TRANSFORMATION OF HUMAN RESOURCES" .
