TEXT BOOK STUFF!
Seems to me that the Goons running this Airline have gone to the Bookshelf again and followed the manual-
HOW TO STUFF SOMETHING THAT IS HUNKY DORY by Rodney Adler.
It was last used in the Perth Base. By all accounts,a fantastic place to be. Motivated crew, nil sick leave, nil injuries, the highest customer satisfaction ratings AND to quote Kylie -"a role model base".
Then -WACK!!!!.
Its costing too much-Short haul are cheaper....... "you can all go and jam it up your ningaloo's" ( This was done over 12 agonising months for all concerned, so week by week-sick leave went up, pax were complaining, morale plummeted and the Base was STUFFED)
The Perth Base -Long Haul has 3 days to run. The PEOPLE who worked and gave it there all are displaced all over Australia OR capitulated to the greed of Qantas execs and succumbed to short haul to pay the bills.
So now it seems that the manual is being dusted off for AO.
Good Luck guys..................you'll need it.
Shame on you Qantas Management.
The future will paint this period of greed and fear as a very dark period in the once proud history of a ICON.
