For what it's worth, I was having a chat with a Qantas friend a couple of days ago, and we were discussing, in particular, the Qantas Club Lounges. . .Seems a lot are in for disappointments in the coming weeks. Qantas lounges have had a quiet change of policy...only those now holding a boarding card for THAT day's travel will be eligable to enter the lounge, and you must produce both boarding card and Membership card.
Basically it stemmed from 2 things;. .Security was apparently the paramount reason, but it is also to act as a deterrent to those who drag half their families, business collegues etc... in for a free feed and booze time!
As far as the Loyalty programs go, and that's ANY program out there...one should always be very sceptical, because in my opinion, nothing in this life is for FREE.
