On what frequencies may an ATIS be transmitted?
a) On VOR, NDB and ILS.
b) On available VHF frequencies VOR and NDB.
c) On VOR only.
d) On VHF communications frequencies only.
Going by the emission classifications that the ATPL syllabus pedals it seems that this is a terrible question! According to this, if I understand it correctly:-

NDB is designated NON, A1A and A2A. There are no voice channels available, only morse at best.

ILS is designated A8W, VOR A9W and VHF Comms A3E. These three have a voice channel. So any answer that includes NDB is wrong.

Only C and D are possibilities. Given this conundrum I would got for D on the strength that it is the most common medium and appeal. What else can you do?
