Not sure of your goals as a pilot but if you enjoy flying I'd say go for it, if you are a highly motivated type you can move up quickly, I am kind of a lazy type and still managed through the years, can't remember a flying job I didn't like!
Do as much networking as possible, aviation is a very small world.
