As to RT snippits, the general level of incompetence is obvious even without the RT
Returning for a moment to the subject of this negative comment, whilst it's not possible to make an objective assessment concerning the competence of the actual recovery team, some facts (rather than subjective and ill-informed criticism) might be helpful.

The Disabled Aircraft Removal Capabilities of some of the busiest UK airports are as follows (LHR excluded for obvious reasons):

LGW - 324,000 kg
STN - 324,000 kg
LTN - 195,050 kg
BRS - 120,000 kg
BHX - 10,000 kg
EMA - 10,000 kg
EDI - Light aircraft only; the airline operators there are expected to DIY.

It can therefore, be seen that Luton's capability (given that it handles few and infrequent Boeing 747 movements) is more than adequate.
