Know what you mean. Not too different trying to get spares into eastern DRC, but could you not apply for a Rectification Interval Extention (RIE) due to those very circumstances which should double the rectification interval. Or trying to get some items down as Non Required Items.
It's easy to sit in the real world and say 'snag all defects', but the reality of having to fly the length of Europe to get a spare part must be considered too. Unfortunately you can't go on record for saying 'don't snag it'.
Unfortunatly with some outfits chances are if you do snag it, the pilot will be replaced before the part is. Fortunatly not with who I worked with.
