Yes they may be a sturdy machine from the pilots point of view but as lower lobe confirmed from a Cabin crew's point of view they are a pain for the crew on long sectors and for the passengers.
It may make it from HNL to SYD but when you have a punter sitting there for 10 hours without lights and sound it wears very thin.
The scare bus is worse, its cramped breaks down and has the worse crew rest seats.
Give me the 747-400 anytime!
