from memory the 757 used to cost about £6k more on say , an AGP than a 738 , rising to about £8k on a TFS
That's pretty intersting, never heard figures (in terms of cost) before. So at £8k for a TFS (I assume you mean one way), those 46 seats would have to sell at £174 each (simplistically put of course). Now the 757s flogging down to TFS would be 99% charter and I doubt that the seat sells for that price as part of a package....
I have heard from a few charter airlines that the official line is that the 757 is the 'wrong' aeroplane for the routes flown, many due to it being just a bit too big.....this would seem to verify that thought.
