A dispute-related factual question for 89ers or returnees/others.. .. .What is the significance to 89ers of a pre-1993 hire date for (now ex) Ansett drivers?. .. .I am familiar with the mid 1990 AFAP ‘return to work’ date, with respect to ‘acceptability’ to dispute pilots, and I am aware that some would regard any post-89 hire date as unacceptable, but I seem to have missed 1993.. .. .Hearsay suggests that at least two organizations with large numbers of dispute pilots in their employ have 1993 as a cut-off date for hiring purposes for ex Ansett drivers, and the (very) occasional post on this forum has also referred to this date. My current 89er work colleagues are not sure why either, although some possibilities have been discussed.. .. .Anyone know about this one?
