Lots of hours left in them Lurk R - especially FKO?? I believe. Someone says she has the lowest hours of any F28 in captivity. (No one knows about the free range ones!) The aeroplane I refer to is ex Lloyds and operated for Eeenie Weenie for a while. When we got it - it was an engineering nightmare and was delayed in entering service while the lames tried to make her an aeroplane again - not 25000 rivets and bolts flying in lose formation. She spent a good deal more time than planned in TMW AMD.

There is no death for an "out of airframe hours Aussie F28" - there is always Indo.

VH-FKD was maxed on hours and sold to Merpati and ferried solo by an orang gila back to CGK to join the fleet. They do however have a useby even there as there are a heap of them pushed up against the fence at CGK and SUB. Maybe just heavy landings.

Sort of like the DC9-30 in GA strip that is probably still hidden in the palms at DPS with a definite bend in the fuselage caused by a very heavy landing. McD sent out engineers to check her over and they just smiled and got out the order book. Microburst (in the tropics??) was blamed. Pilot must have been the son of a general.
