I have a copy of the June 1987 Australian "Aircraft" magazine, which has a good article about East-East and its 40th Birthday. It has a few pictures of the 2 F28-3000 from Cimber Air in the the hangar at Tamworth. They are black and white photos but they have the Cimber Air logo on the tail and the name Cimber below the windows just aft of the the airstair door.
The article also contains facts about East-Wests passenger numbers for the following years:
1983-1984: 630,400
1984-1985: 838,200
1985-1986: 938,400
Average Load Factor was 64.5%.
In the news section of the same mag it says that East-West had just ordered the F100.
So how did they end up with the B146 and not the F100's that they ordered, was this because of Ansett purchasing East-East?
