Rachit

You are correct calling Cimber Air the owners of the Foxy and Golf - but they must have been on on lease to Saudia when sold to EWA. Some such facts are in the dead zone.

You may still have the newsletter to staff floating around showing teatowel heads lining up to board one of the somewhere in the desert. If I can find the newsletter I will scan it and email.

They definitely arrived in Saudia green and white? livery and were repainted and refitted at TMW. What a bleeding marvelous facility that was!!!Even AN gaped when they glommed us - that and the yield management system.

Memories abound of the F28s - funniest was when crews were training after the night flight got in from MEL. Late night - 2100-2359 - circuits and bumps - single engine shutdowns etc. The F28 would go out over Pardoe Downs (the Devonport equivalent of Redfern) screaming happily on one Spey - do a circuit and do it all over again. Then the phones would start. Standard retort was - how long have you lived there?? Oh - 3 months?? sorry - the airport was here before you - and what does one expect to hear under a flight path - cows mooing??? In the end we had to lock the airport gate as the tense little housing commissioners started turning up in VERY bad moods!
