Lightbulb GA safety

Recent incident's, involving light aircraft, has got the grey matter sparking in the minds of many GA pilots.

Taking a sample of one airport; Jandakot.

* Recently we had a C172 (S.F.C) go down just shy of rwy 24L
* Piper Warrior suffer an engine failure after takeoff in Beverley
* SLX single engine landing
* C172 (S.F.C) again, clipped its wing on the ground while taking a corner too fast.
* 2 Prop stikes reported.
* HQZ removing extra balast (Pilots window) in flight.

This is only JT. Imagine if we considered it on a National Level?

Is this a passing phase? Or is this a glimmer of things to come. Considering the age of the aircraft we are flying, it comes as no real suprise, but how long and how much worse are things going to get?
