I noticed my self, last time I was flying (not me, but the pilots) Dash 8, a new sound in their GPWS system. I sat on jumpseat and heard when passing DH their minimums sound: Wasn`t that the Boeing 737 NG GPWS sound of minima? Also the RA calls sounded all like the 737 NG sound. This was with Widerĝe in one of their Dash 8 100 aircraft.
From where do they get their sounds? Is this integrated in some hardware or are they able to change this soundsets when they like to?
