RE: QF employment for AN pilots.
I think current QF pilots may have a few things to say about direct FO. There are many pilots that had lots of jet time before starting at QF but still went to SO.
The issue of seniority will of course be a contentious one.
The decision for the AN pilots having to pass the computer Psyc./skills testing (stage 1 in the selection process) I agree with. It would defeat the last 6-7 yrs of intakes that have meet the "suitable mold" QF is after in a person.
I will guess there will be a lot of AN pilots now interested in pass posts about what to expect in the testing. Should imagine a few more "mature" applicants walking out of QC3 block in bewilderment. (some may never look at a cube the same way again
)
