Last time someone tried to pinch a Sunnies aircraft it was an N24 Nomad (long nose version) from Noosa.
The perpertrator was p!ssed and allegedly intended to take his girlfriend 'out' by flying it into an apartment building at Noosa.
The aircraft was found, engines running, by the morning's pilot, after it had been taxied into an empty fuel tanker and abandoned.
The heroic ('troubled') would be pilot was found comatose in a gutter not far from the airport. He was very lucky to have been able to exit the aircraft with engines running without mincing himself.
I believe he stole a Baron from Bankstown some years later and died after ploughing it into a dam near Bringelly.
