And in the North American market all airlines are outsourcing aswell, except American Airlines.
They have increased their maintenance department and are picking up maintenance from all the other airlines.
So its a matter of cutting jobs to save money or sticking your neck out to make money. And the chances of air NZ management sticking their necks out to make money are pretty slim.
I guess craig sinclair is asked on a regular basis why he laid off John Mounce, coz engineering is not the jewel in the crown now!!
