It would appear that the BPK SID's are turning right after departure (rather than left) from 26 and put on radar headings roughly through the overhead to keep clear of the blast 'area' which is due south of the airport.
All departures are climbing straight ahead, rather than following the NPR which would turn the outbounds toward the conflagration initially. Unprecedented, but totally necessary. I wonder just how many noise complaints this will generate, probably very few?
The view of Hemel from my Zoo has been brilliant today, unfortunately the sight of plumes thick with acrid smoke spreading over east London and beyond are hideous!
The loud bang just after 6 this morning had me diving for cover fearing poachers!
