Before unions and the conditions that UNIFIED WORKING PEOPLE struggled for and won, companies had people - including CHILDREN - working in dirty, dangerous and poorly paid jobs.
What make you think that they would act any differently these days if they weren't FORCED to?
Now you lot really have lost the plot. This would have to be the most ill informed, uneducated "debate" (for lack of a better word) relating to government policy I've seen on Pprune... and that's saying a lot!

Col. Kurtz: You comment has to take the prize for the most ridiculous left wing scare mongering I've seen to date on Pprune. . Yes of course, John Howard wants your 10 year old children working the mines again.

As usual, you seem to all believe management is over paid and going to do nothing but try screw you over. Well how about you firstly do a management course and see what they are actually taught regarding labour relations, then become a manager. It seems a lot of you think they get money for nothing - why not join them then???
