Voodoo Guru,. .That wouldn't have been an early Avalon, would it, the one where the airshow axis was at 90 degrees to the main runway, and the flyby axis was so far from the crowd line that anything smaller than a B747 was almost out of sight.

The TAA B727 flyby was a ripper, very fast, very low ( and very safe, the energy was at all time away from the crowd).

Check out the proposed new airshow rules CASA has dreamt up, we can't have the general public actually interested in and enjoying aviation, even for a few days every so often.

Who says CASA are directing their efforts too much to the famous "paying passenger", there's lot of other aviation to hobble.
