NOT keeping a good look out wasn't the main mistake. flying in an area that you are not supposed to is ridiculous.
we lads train in sibson is very well aware of the dropping zone. but shouldn't anyone else too? sibson isn't the only site that has Parasuiters jumping off nearby. no overhead join at sibson, no dead side north of the RWYs as that is where the drop zone is located. flying through without checking if the guys are jumping out of planes are active is just ignorant and poor airmanship?!?
lucky the guy survived and missed. and yes. this was shown in the safety evening that has been presented by a CAA guy. funny enough at sibson.
