DJP - At this stage no-one is amalgamating. There is a regional business review on at the moment however which will result in some rationalisation.
It is envisaged that the engineering side will be streamlined substantially but the flight ops is another story. There are many variables yet to be determined and the final plan will be subject to whatever the accountants see as the best option, be that 3 separate companies or one.
The other area is whether a combined regional AOC is desireable or retain the 3 HCAOC's. Especially as Southern's already has jets on it.
So for all the statemants of so & so are amalgamating and the jets are going - they are fine on here as this is a rumour network. Unfortunately facts are than nothing has been decided and facts will only be known when it happens.
