My vote's for the "get the aircraft dirty then drop the noise". If you really want to push it (assuming you'll break no clearances and you know where other traffic is / won't effect other traffic) actually zoom climb to get the speed back to get dirty quicker. Only thing trying to get an approach like that in is to watch your sink rate near the ground [although it helps if your aircraft tells you "sink rate"
