I think that perhaps it might be the result of MOL's straight to the point speech about life, or the lack of it, for London pilots should they vote BALPA in. A die-hard lifelong BALPA member told me he voted "no" for fear of what would happen to his job prospects. And he was a Captain. Also know some didn't vote at all as there seemed little point. Caught between a rock and a hard place. Be interesting to see the rewards for the troops now that the requested decision has been made.
