Guernsey
Aurigny ATR72 Fleet
Does any one know why AURIGNY could not find a servicable ATR72 FOR sunday the 20th of NOV??
They had to get international rescue in and scramble thunderbird one and two.
This was in the form of a TITAN BA146 postioning in from Stansted and operate at least the Manchester flight and the second aircraft was ATLANTIC AIRLINES new ATR72, G-HERM.
For those who do not know but HERM is a very small island just to the east of Guernsey.
With AURIGNY having three ATR72 aircraft and most of the time only requireing two aircraft to operate there schedules, you would of thought they would be able to muster at least one servicable aircraft.
To charter in two aircraft seems a major proble as i believe the ATR72 Atlantic was only going to do one rotation to Gatwick, but it did at least two may have even been three rotations then night stoped, and was due to leave Guernsey around lunch time weather permitting, returning home to Coventry unless something else has gone wrong in the Ayline camp of ATR operation .
