Boy it was a long time ago that flights were $200. I remember before Virgin (2 years) it cost me $706 SYD - BNE. That's what Virgin has bought to the aviation and Aus, competition and choice.. .Another one to blame some one else for the demise of Ansett. It had nothing to do with shonky work practices, over staffing, overtime rorts, etc.. .Note: I worked there, I know what it was like. The place was dying a slow death and all the dishonest mongrels that worked there killed a proud airline. Half the people were decent, honest workers. You work out what half you were in. Virgin did not kill Ansett, it committed suicide. The only discrimination Virgin applies is honesty and integrity in it's workers. They should put full page ads in the papers with "no whinging bludgers need apply".
