It IS illegal to discriminate against someone on the basis of age. This also includes the old chestnut, " age for experience" since that is entirely age based.. .. .It is NOT illegal to not want to employ 89 scabs. That doesn't come under age, sex or religion.. .. .However considering some of the dunces I know who got in because of daddy....(Elvis).. .. .Virgin has been a disaster. It probably traded whislt insolvent in the early days, and broke the law by continuting to do so. Charging fares below cost probably broke consumer laws but this would be impossible to prosecute now.. .. .So what has Virgin brought to the aviation industry in OZ? A loss of 60000 jobs, all so that people can fly once a year for $100 instead of $200. Good stuff. Do they have a safety department, like QF has I wonder.... .. .P.S.
