So what? A b727 is just another A/C. Much hotter and heavier A/C are flown VFR.

reminds me of the late Jordanian King who used to hoon along at low levels in the middle of the desert in his L1011 , this part of the planet however , requires 70t+ aircraft like the B727 or even the antonov vodka crates to be strictly IFR when on RPT flights.

(but then if there is no CAA/FAA in Afgahnistan then I suppose 350kts at 1500ft could be entertaining , where do I sign up ?)
