T2 and the QB are a significant part of post war British history. From the minute the first brick was laid their parts in history were confirmed. Because of that they cannot be pulled down.
Modernise them by all means, especially the check in area with its very low ceilings. However the stone flooring the brass stair rails and the 1950's architecteral style must not be altered.
The BAA should cash in on the style, historical importance of these two fine buildings.
The stories they can tell, the Beatles, the ambassador crash, the Air France bomb, Libyan repatriaion of the PC Fletcher killers, the Iranian gas victims etc etc etc.
Knock them down and build a copy of that filthy terminal building at STN. You're having a larf mate.
