I am a graduate from Oxfords APP program.

Finished early summer, took 4 months to get a job and another 3 months waiting to start, which I think is pretty good.

Without going into the details of Oxford which are posted all over this web site, I will say to any person who is about the start, YOU have made the right decision. The teaching and facitlities at Oxford are amazing and with the continued modification to the APP course are always trying to keep ahead of the game.

A word of advise for those starting. Write off your social life for the 6 months of ground school. I'm not saying dont go out or have weekends off but dont make plans in advance as the week you tought you may go see your girfriend or family may be the week you have had a lot to learn in ground school and need to put in extra hours at the weekend.
I would say after lectures most of my course did about 4 more hours study a day as a mimimum and then at weekends did about 8 hours a day study. This extra effort to commit to studying for 6 months almost solid will give you the edge as when you leave you will all have a frozen ATPL the only thing to distinguish you will be your ground school results and flying grades.

Besides there will be plenty of time to make up for the lack of social life once you get out to Arizona.

Please dont be put off by the work in ground school everyone feels daunted in the begining but you will make good friends and help each other on the way.

Good luck to you all, it is the perfect time to start your new career.
