Even the companies respondant to the award don't necessarily pay it from my experience. I don't know your level of experience but be careful how much boat rocking you do early in your career. It is a small industry in AUS and most low time pilots would rather take your job than back you in any confrontation with management.
My advice would be to get your hours enjoy the flying and move on. There aren't too many rungs between the bottom and top of the career ladder in this country. In a couple of years it will all be a happy memory !!
