sling: your way over my head now. the way it was told to me is the UMHD had a further reach. which lens was in use, cannot be sure of. i agree that i'm sure whatever FSI comes out with, john will counter with and vica versa.
as for our mounts, same for both cameras, they need the long single pole mount to get the ground clearance necessary. both cameras use the same isolator, just a different hole pattern on top where the camera interfaces with the isolator. both camera's perform best with an isolator.
with regards to specifics on the FSI system, the contact at FSI on media camera's is larry krieg.
