Cabinboy - on behalf of AN Res I say thank you for you comment on AN being a 'beautiful airline'. I was one of the few at AN Res. to hit the phones on Friday morning (I felt I had to do my bit to help and you can imagine what I had to deal with) and I feel sorry for the chaos that was dumped on you.
On the subject of NZ not taking AN tickets, QF did the same thing starting Thursday afternoon. Another thing about NZ not taking AN tickets was the staff members stranded in New Zealand!!! One guy from Res here fronted up to check-in on Friday morning (on positive space) only to be told - bad luck mate this is no good, and they tore his ticket up
So much for working for the so-called same company. He had to pay his own way back
