I had a similar timetabling problem, 'ckin lectures on Friday morning!
Michael Edic is right I'm afraid, you should have tried harder at school
but maybe if he'd also tried harder at school he could have been a pilot - shouldn't you be posting on PMRUNE/PBRUNE old chum!?!
I would imagine this 1900 finish madness will be short lived. When I was at uni, my initial timetable had over 40 hrs p/w (though not at the Hatfield Centre of Excellence) but by the end of the first week about 8 hrs of that had disappeared and were just introductions or 'meet and creeps'.
I wouldn't make too much noise about it at this stage. See if you get in for a start (if you don't give CUAS a bell) then see how it goes not attending that lecture for a few weeks. My guess is that after said few weeks, it won't be the only one you don't attend!
