Virgin/Qantas Recruiting ex-Ansett??????
Hello all.Have some anecdotal regarding Virgin.Evidently most of AN cabincrew are missing out,reiving a letter saying they haven`t met Virgin Blues` criteria.This is fine and in some cases understandable but one ex-AN girl`s letter was dated two days prior to the interviews!In this circumstance Virgin is backpeddling,I imagine in fear of discrimination etc....
Do pruners think Dixon/Godfrey statements of taking on so many ex AN staff are just public & political stunts.Virgin seems to be very image conscious regarding the media where I think Qantas is more concerned of the political playing field.However,both are on record as saying they would take on 500-1000 in Virgins case & upto 6000 in the Qantas scenario.
I for one would be appreciative of being given an oppurtunity of going through a selection process but to receive a thanks but no thanks letter dated a few days prior to the interview would be crushing.
