G-HELY & G-BUSA

Barratt Developments sold G-HELY in 1984 to Castle Air Charters Ltd., a well known Agusta A109 specialist & helicopter TV camera ship company based in Liskeard, Cornwall, it then went through a couple of other short term owners (Candyfleet Ltd 1990-92, then Den Norsk Leasing Ltd 1992) and was cancelled on 12/10/1992 to the USA as N109MJ, it is still in the US, but now registered N109WH. For some reason the FAA list it as manufactured in 1997, so may have undergone a rebuild?

G-BUSA was sold by Barratt Developments (Scotland) Ltd. on 26/11/1985 & re-registered as G-PAMI, the new owners were Lynton Aviation Ltd. In 1987 it was registered to Airzed Ltd., then back to Lynton Aviation again from 1989 to 1993.

The aircraft was then sold & re-registered as G-ICSG to Industrial Control Services Ltd. of Maldon, Essex on 06/04/1993.

On 27/11/1997 it was bought by MW Helicopters of Stapleford, Essex & on 22/08/2003 the aircraft was registered to Stratton Motor Company (Norfolk) Ltd., but I believe the aircraft remains based at Stapleford with MW Helicopters.

I have a negatives\slides somewhere of of G-HELY, G-BUSA & G-PAMI in various schemes, I will try to dig them out & post here.

This was taken by me at Battersea Heliport when registered to Industrial Control Services Ltd.

This shot taken by me at Stapleford in the last couple of years.
