BA - LHR Cabin Crew (EF)
Hi guys,
I've recently been offered a course with BA at LHR (EF) after taking a 5 year break from flying - previously, I worked in the charter airline market/sector for 13 years. I know the industry has changed significantly, however, I really have missed working as crew and the life-style it afforded me and I have therefore decided to give it another go. Albeit 'sheduled' this time.
I have TWO main concerns though and would me most grateful if those of you that started flying with BA Eurofleet @ LHR this year (2005) could help me out with some important info:
1. Realistically, what salary would I be taking home in the first few months (during and post training).
2. Are all new recruits these days in the 20-22 years old age group, or did you have a mixture of ages on your courses this year? That may sound like a trivial concern to some of you, but I am 40 years old now (I know it's not that old and I certainly don't feel old), yet I don't want to stand out like the course 'oldie' on the ab initio course. 5 weeks can be a long time....if you know what I mean??
Anyway, please don't turn this thread into another anti BA debate, I really would appreciate some genuine and sincere replies to my questions. Feel free to send me a pm if you prefer.
Thanks very much!!
