It appears that you have not being keeping up with the press. Air Nelson have very strongly stipulated that the aircraft is to be called a Q300 and not a Dash 8 because the NZ public may be scared to fly in it following the Palmy incident (Ansett NZ) several years ago.
I sure do hope that this aircraft is the fastest, quietest, most reliable, most spacious machine that it is made out to be. Just drove past the Air Nelson hangers in Nelson and saw about 100 people + the local radio station all having a wee perv at it.
Seems a lot of noise is been made for a simple turbo-prop. Just hope it dosen't all turn upside down for the company when the public get bored with it in 3 months.
Never saw Eagle make even half as much noise about the B1900D.
