Problem is that it's not management or the roster clerk who gets nailed. If things go wahoonie shaped it's the pilot who has to defend his licence to the authorities. It's not easy but we have to cover our own @rses, and that sometimes means telling the rostering folks you can't do it. I'm not even sure it's legal to accept a roster that schedules you out of FDP.
I'm guessing that this would vary from country to country, though.
