A bulkhead doesn't have to be a pressure bulkhead to be a bulkhead. Of course it could be a divider. Not a wall, though. Never a wall.
I didn't realise you had Seneca time... you are clearly an experienced almost-commercial-pilot. Good for you.
Comparing the Dash 8 to other aircraft is a lot like misquoting Churchill, by saying "Democracy is the best form of government, apart from all the others..."
Seriously though, it is a good aircraft to learn your trade on. It is slow, but it is also strong and reliable (apart from some of the modern systems they tacked on, like the NVS).
