What About If You Can Afford A Type Rating?

What About If You Can Afford A Type Rating?

This is my situation:

Finished integrated pilot training 3 years ago. Have been working within the Aviation Industry since. At the same time I've actively been seeking F/O positions unfortunately without any positive result (read "lowtimer").

Right now I've been offered to join FI training (approx. 10 months) at a well established FTO but at the same time I'm thinking of buying a Type Rating (+Line Training). I can't really afford both (FI and Type Rating/Line Training) but I'm very eager to break through and start of my commercial pilot career as soon as possible.

Turning 30 next year...
