I've just finished working for Pelican Air, averaging '100 hours a month' mainly VFR night. Yes the money is not in keeping with UK standards, but most of the pilots applying are Latinos and for them $1500 per month is good money.
Also for me the flying experience was fantastic, having not been through the military system. There are only two pilots, the chief getting $3500 p/m and the owner tries his best not to fly.
If its money your after, stay away from the caribbean, money is tight on all the islands. However, if you want to get experience and good training, then it doesn't get better.
