An edited piece from last weeks Manchester Evening News. Seems Red 10 decided to pay a visit to his old school at Parrs Wood--Didsbury last week--at about 500ft and with the rest of the team in tow ! --the school also got the kids to form a "Red Arrow" on the ground. As a piece of
PR--priceless!!. Whether the other objective--to stimulate the kids as to a career in the Mil ( assumes we still have an Air Force in the future of course !--) only time will tell--but it may well have stimulated them to think about aviation as a career anyway.
I wouldn't normally post this next bit--however. Yesterday, I had a
day in Glasgow--heading south on the M6 my day improved about 200%--my thanks to the Jag driver who would have crossed Tebay Services at about 1613hrs--a camera would have been nice as he came round the hills heading North just before the services with about 70degs of bank and "travelling".
Just a nice reminder of past days.
