I've just read Hoverman's post and, try as I might, I really can't see anything offensive in it. He phrased it in the politest possible way, stressing that he hoped his opinion wouldn't cause offence, and gently made a suggestion. He didn't even mention your name although, because I'd also noticed quite a few 'links', I realised who he meant. He even complimented you on your interesting posts. You may think his comment was unjustified, but he was only expressing his opinion.
Standing back as a neutral objective observer, I don't think either what Hoverman said, or the way he said it, can fairly be called offensive.
If you are determined to leave, that must be your decision, but I hope you'll reconsider.
I'm sure you didn't mean it this way, but your post could be misinterpreted as 'taking your bat and ball home' because someone's said something you disagree with. As Helimutt says, if everyone did that on a discussion forum, there'd be no discussion forum!
You and Hoverman BOTH make valuable contributions to Rotorheads discussions and it's a shame to see you fall out.
Least said soonest mended?
I hope you'll reconsider.
