Welcome All to EF LGW

You will have a great time and they do say LGW - Lets Go Wild
LHR - Lets Have Room Service

LGW does have its advantages and disadvantages like every other airline but if you do have a choice between both LGW and LHR think hard about what suits you and what you want. Their is a few points you must consider :

EF LGW is not on a Mainline Contract but on a BA PLC Contract
(Mainline contracts contain ACC NSP which stands for Air Cabin Crew National Sectional Panel which is an agreement between the Unions and BA which cover the movement of cabin crew between all the fleets and bases. However, with the Midfleet planned for LGW as EF LGW is not part of NSP nobody can transfer in and promotion is done with the fleet. Other fleets treat BA EF LGW as outsiders in BA even regional bass and subsidiary's and franchises get treated better. But its the crew who make it and LGW has alot of excellent crew. You get good rosters and bad rosters , easy days and hard days.

If the recruitment team say you can transfer after 6 months to lhr its not true their is only a gentlemans agreement for 54 per year to transfer to EF LHR where you would drop your seniority in the fleet , pay and rank if you are a purser, and the recruitment team must mention to you the differences between ef lhr and ef lgw!
