I fly for a helicopter logging company, obviously we don't use R22s
but we always monitor 121.5, granted that we are equiped with duplicate radios. However, when i was a flight instructor i always installed in my clients to always monitor that freq. when on long segments of CC flights, when not near a CTAF or tower.
