Fire at AIRBUS Broughton causes job cuts

There was an internal fire at AIRBUS Broughton a few weeks backs which led to a number of job cuts, im not sure if it happened in the East factory or West, AIRBUS where pritty miffed off at this event so they cut some of there contract workers whom maintain the machiniary, one of them was my cousin who had only started a few days earlier, so he was first to go, like the saying goes first in first out. He is now on the team at Rolls Royce in Derby.
Can anybody elaberate on this, was there any machiniary damaged?Could this event be linked o AIRBUS thretening to pull production from Broughton?
