The last time you guys had a work stoppage my group respected it and did not fly any UPS goods. Several others flew off the UPS ramp in SDF and some of them were ALPA carriers. There have not been any repercussions for those who did fly UPS goods, i.e., jumpseats, etc. I’m not so sure that being represented by an in house union garners the same support from other unions and considering the state of the U.S. industry I think you guys would lose if you left the cockpit. My group is facing the same problem and we have to decide if the company is willing to face disruptions in service to hire replacements. My bet is they would. UPS has more to lose and may not. Then again, they just might pull the trigger. Care to bet your job?
